These are not the same as functional undergarments like a bra, girdle, slip or panty. The term is derived from the French word 'lin' meaning 'linen', and applies to all undergarments of the male or female sex. Teddies are designed for visual appeal and as practical clothing. Available in either loose or form fitting styles.
